The similarity between Subject and Verb in a Sentence according to Number and Person is called Subject Verb Agreement. That is, the verb is always according to the Number and Person of the Subject. (কোন Sentence এ Subject এবং Verb এর মধ্যে Number এবং Person অনুযায়ী যে মিল বা সাদৃশ্য তাকে Subject verb Agreement বলে। অর্থাৎ Subject এর Number ও Person অনুযায়ী সবসময় verb হয়।)

সহজভাবে বলতে গেলে Subject এর Number ও Person অনুযায়ী verb হয়।
1st Person — I am/ We are I was We were
2nd Person — You are/You are You were You were
3rd person — He is/ They are He was They were
subject verb agreement এর নিয়ম : part One
Rule 1 – A singular subject takes the verb in singular and a plural subject takes the verb in plural.( একটি singular subject একটি singular verb এবং একটি plural subject একটি plural verb নেয়।)
Exampleঃ This is a man. man.
There are four man.
★ কিন্তু Subjunctive mood এর ক্ষেত্রে একটি Singular subject একটি plural verb নেয়।
Exampleঃ If the news were true, what would it matter?
সংবাদটি যদি সত্যি হয়, তাহলে কি হতো?
Rule 2- Two or more singular subjects connected by ‘and’ usually take a verb in the plural. ( দুই বা তোতাধিক Subject ‘and’ দ্বারা যুক্ত হলে verb plural হয়।
Exampleঃ
Jamil and Hasan have gone Chittagong.
কিন্তু যখন and দিয়ে যুক্ত দুটি Singular subject একই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুুকে নির্দেশ করে তখন verb টি Singular হবে
Exampleঃ The prime minister and Awami League Chairperson has come here.

Rule 3-
If two subject are added by these, the verb is according to the 1st subject. (এগুলো দ্বারা দুটি subject যুক্ত হলে 1st subject অনুযায়ী verb হয়।)
Example: Ruma as well as Jhuma is happy. (As well as এর ব্যবহার)

Rule-4 : Either or neither nor এর ব্যবহার, Either এর ব্যবহার, not only but also এর ব্যবহার
Neither…………nor
Either……………or
Not……………….but
Not only………….but also
এগুলো দ্বারা যুক্ত subjects ভিন্ন ভিন্ন persons এ হলে শেষে ব্যবহৃত Subject এর Person অনুযায়ী verb ব্যবহৃত হয়। Either or neither nor এর ব্যবহার
Example: Nither Sufia nor I am capable of solving the problem.

Rule-5
One of,each of, neither of, the number of, quality of, None of এর ব্যবহার প্রভৃতি এর পর plural noun থাকলে singular verb বসে।
Example: Neither of the books was interesting.

Rule-6
Everybody, Everyone, Everything, Anybody, Anyone, Anything, Somebody, Someone, Something, Nobody, No one, Nothing, Each, Either, Neither, Everyday, Whatever, Whichever এগুলো subject হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হলে তাদের পরবর্তী verb সবসময় singular হয়।

Rule-7 – you he and i grammar rules
একটি Sentence এ একাধিক person সাজানো নিয়ম প্রথমে 2nd person এরপর 3rd person তারপর 1st person।
Example: You,he and I went there.
কিন্তু দোষ স্বীকার এর ক্ষেত্রে 123 মানে প্রথমে 1st person বসে।
Example: I, you and he are guilty.
Rule-8. Many, Both, Few, Fewer, Some, Several, Other, Othera, The rest এ শব্দ গুলোর পর Subject ও verb উভয় Plural form হয়।
Example: Many problems have solved.
Rule-9 Time, Distance, Weight, Money এ সবের পরিমাণের পর সবসময় verb singular হয়।
★Fifty minutes _____ enough time to finish this feast.

Rule-10. more than এর ব্যবহার:
More than এর পরে Singular noun ব্যবহৃত হলে verb singular হয় আর plural noun ব্যবহৃত হলে verb plural হয়।
Example: More than two general people were killed in the fighting.

Collective noun সাধারণত Singular verb গ্রহণ করে।
audience, band, group, organization, Council, committee, firm, board, chorus, team, jury, police, class, congress, Team, public, faculty, Corporation, crowd, majority, family, government, company, orchestra.
Example ঃ Our team is going to win the game.
Rule-12
কিছু Noun রয়েছে যেগুলো দেখতে Plural কিন্তু সর্বদা singular verb গ্রহন করে।
Gallows, physics, Optics, Innings, Mathematics, smallpox, News, Statistics, Ethics, Politics, measles, mumps.
Example ঃ Statistics is a hard subject
Rule-13
Sentence এ subject one হলে sentence এর পরবর্তী কোন অংশ one এর পরিবর্তে one’s হবে।

Rule-14
One and a half এর পরে Noun plural হয় আর verb singular হয়।
Example ঃ One and half mangoes was eaten by him.

No এর পরে Singular Noun বসলে Verb Singular হয় এবং No এর পরে Plural Noun বসলে Verb Plural হয়।

A lot of এর পরে Noun singular হলে verb ও singular হয় আর noun plural হলে verb ও plural হয়।

Hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion এসকল সংখ্যাবাচক শব্দকে Plural করার সময় s/es যুক্ত হয়।

Aristocracy, nobility, people, cattle, peasantry, gentry, folk, clergy, vermin, poultry এসকল noun দেখতে singular হলেও এরা plural verb নেয়।a\

Adjective এর আগে The বসলে এমন এর অর্থ কোন শ্রেনী বুঝালে তাহলে verb plural হবে।
Example ঃ The poor are week.

Rule-21
তুলনা করার সময় একই Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি এড়ানোর জন্য Singular এর জায়গায় Singular জায়গায় that of এবং plural জায়গায় those of বসে।
Exampleঃ The mongos of Rajshahi are better than those of Feni.
Rule- 22
Need model verb হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হলে verb শেষে 3rd person singular number s/es হয় না।
Rule-23
Here শব্দটি পরে Subject অনুযায়ী verb বসে।
Exampleঃ
Here is the car black.
Here are cars black.
